Getting Started~

Hello everyone, this is my second go at a blog, in this blog, I will go through ways to perform better in school. I myself have gone through a process of self development in the recent years and I think that I have improved quite a lot.

FIRST THINGS FIRST~

The very first thing you should do before bringing any change is make your mind about it, the intention, and reflect on why do you want this change to take place in yourself? In this case, you might want to think, why do want to do better in school? (or in any institution)
Close your eyes, think.
Some may think up very simple answers, such as not wanting to be scolded by parents or to impress a teacher. Some might come up with with a deeper reason such as wanting to have a better future.
Whatever it is, it is a cause. Since you have a cause, there's no reason to step back. Now that we're serious, let's get going!

Before moving on...
Know that a school is a place where you necessarily wouldn't aim to just improve your grades and be the book worm of your class, it is a much more social place, where skills such as arts, sports, communication and language count. Therefore, one should aim to improve more than grades.

1) Identifying Weaknesses
Before we start improving ourselves, we need to look at the things that weigh us down, resulting in us lagging behind. Is it video games or is it that even after studying we don't get the desired results?
If it is video games, then we should learn to manage our time. A recent research has shown that 63% of the students lagging behind in schools are pushed back because of poor time management.
TIME MANAGEMENT
So the first step should be to manage time. No matter how hard it sounds (two hours of games, only!?) it pays off in the end. Believe it or not, once a person starts to follow the unspoken rules of time management, it becomes so much more easier.
How to manage time?
Time is something that goes extra fast when when we will it to slow down, but goes painstakingly slow when you will it to pass quick. So we have to learn controlling it. Manage your life in a routine. This can also mean to plan things beforehand. Such as exams coming up. What most of us do leave the studying on the last day. This results in depression, anxiety and a number of health issues. So as exams come up, one should plan strategically, giving equal time and importance to all subjects (maths and sciences be an exception :P)

Well, there can also be a few "hacks" to learning that speed the process.
A site reference I'll add:

(try the quiz on this page, I got a score of 30%. T_T)

Until my next post, ciao.
